Welcome to The Lothian Youth Arts & Musicals Company website. We are one of Scotland's leading amateur youth musical companies. Founded in 1998, and registered as a charity in 2002, the main objective of LYAMC is to make musical theatre fun for 120 youngsters aged 8 to 25. We seek to develop, educate and encourage young people in various aspects of the performing arts. The company has developed into a high profile organisation that consistently achieves excellent production standards.
LYAMC is often called upon to supply youngsters to perform in shows at many theatres across Edinburgh, for both professional and amateur companies, this includes many touring productions for the Edinburgh Playhouse.
The social and fundraising aspect of the company is also very important to us. Over the last few years we have organised many events and activities for our entire company to take part in. For example sponsored events, family fun nights and various other trips and excursions.
